Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how AI Thumbnail Creator handles information when you use this website and its browser-based thumbnail tools. The service is designed to work without a backend account system. Most creator actions, including editing thumbnails, uploading a background image into the canvas, generating title suggestions, previewing a design, scoring CTR potential, and exporting files, happen locally in your browser. This policy is written to be understandable for creators, editors, students, marketers, and other visitors who want to know what is stored, what is not stored, and what choices they have.
Information You Provide
When you use the editor, you may choose to upload an image from your device. In this static client-side version, that image is read by your browser and drawn onto the canvas so you can customize a thumbnail. The image is not uploaded to our server by the editor. If you save a draft, the draft data, preview image, text layers, template choices, and related settings are stored in your browser's localStorage. The saved draft remains on the same browser and device unless you clear site data, use private browsing, switch browsers, or manually delete the draft. We cannot view, recover, or move your local draft from our side.
If you use the newsletter form, the email address is stored in localStorage in this browser as a cosmetic subscription confirmation unless a future hosted version connects a real email service. If you contact us through the contact page, the form validates your message in the browser and prepares an email through your own mail application. The message is only sent when you choose to send that email. Direct emails you send to hello@aithumbnailcreator.com may include your name, email address, subject, message content, and any technical details you decide to include.
Automatically Handled Data
Like most websites, a hosted version of AI Thumbnail Creator may receive basic technical information from browsers and hosting providers, such as IP address, browser type, device category, referring page, approximate location derived from network data, pages visited, and time of visit. This information helps with security, debugging, performance monitoring, and understanding whether pages work across devices. The local file version opened directly from your computer may not send this information to our web host because it is not being served from our domain.
LocalStorage and Browser Storage
AI Thumbnail Creator uses localStorage for saved drafts, theme preference, newsletter confirmation, and similar convenience features. localStorage is a browser storage mechanism, not a server database. It can persist after you close the tab. Anyone with access to the same device and browser profile may be able to view your saved drafts by opening the site. You can remove this information by using browser site-data controls, clearing browsing data, deleting drafts inside the tool, or using private browsing for temporary work. Because localStorage capacity varies by browser, very large uploaded images may reduce how many drafts can be saved.
Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
This version may be prepared for future use with Google Analytics or Google AdSense. If those services are enabled on a hosted version, Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies to measure traffic, prevent fraud, personalize ads, limit ad repetition, and report advertising performance. Google may use information from visits to this and other websites to provide ads about goods and services of interest to users. You can learn about and manage Google ad personalization at Google Ad Settings. You can also review Google's advertising policies and privacy practices through Google's own privacy resources.
If analytics is used, it should be configured to measure aggregate behavior such as page views, device categories, traffic sources, and feature interest. We do not intentionally use analytics to collect the text you type into the title generator, the images you upload into the editor, or the contents of your local drafts. Browser extensions, network tools, or third-party scripts loaded by your own environment may behave differently, so review your browser setup if you need a highly controlled privacy environment.
How We Use Information
Information is used to operate the website, provide the editor and title tools, remember your theme and drafts, respond to messages you send, improve accessibility and usability, diagnose errors, protect against abuse, and understand broad usage patterns. We do not sell your local drafts, uploaded images, or generated title topics. We do not claim ownership of thumbnails you export. If a hosted version later adds accounts, cloud sync, paid plans, or real newsletter delivery, this policy should be updated before those features collect additional data.
Sharing and Third Parties
We may rely on third-party infrastructure or services such as static hosting, font delivery, icon delivery, analytics, advertising, or email providers. These providers may process technical information according to their own policies. The site currently loads Google Fonts, Font Awesome assets, Tailwind CDN resources, and may disclose Google advertising or analytics usage when enabled. We do not knowingly share personal information with unrelated third parties for their independent marketing lists.
Data Retention
LocalStorage data remains until you or your browser removes it. Email messages are retained for as long as needed to respond, maintain records, handle disputes, or meet legal obligations. Aggregate analytics data, if enabled, may be retained according to the configured analytics provider settings. Advertising data, if enabled through Google AdSense, is handled according to Google's policies and your ad personalization choices.
Your Choices and Rights
You can choose not to save drafts, clear browser storage, block cookies, disable third-party scripts, opt out of ad personalization where available, or contact us about privacy questions. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain personal information. Because most editor data is stored locally, you can usually delete it directly from your own browser faster than we can act. For messages you sent by email, contact hello@aithumbnailcreator.com and describe your request clearly.
Children's Privacy
AI Thumbnail Creator is a general creative productivity tool. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Younger creators should use the tool with guidance from a parent, guardian, teacher, or responsible adult, especially before publishing content online or sharing personal information through email.
Security
No website or browser storage method can be guaranteed perfectly secure. We reduce exposure by keeping core editing actions client-side and avoiding unnecessary uploads in this version. You are responsible for keeping your own device, browser profile, and exported files secure. Avoid uploading sensitive personal images into shared or public devices, and clear site data after use on computers you do not control.
Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy when features, laws, analytics tools, advertising services, or operational practices change. The effective date at the top of the page shows the current version. Continued use of the website after updates means you accept the revised policy.
